a falling star fell from your heart.
Early mornings were becoming her favorite once more. The cool air of Leaf-Fall was welcoming after the sweltering Greenleaf they had just endured. It awakened her senses and allowed her to stay sharp and attentive easier than the heat that lulled her into a trance. But at such an early hour, she didn't have much to do. Patrols would be organized by her Deputy and the freshkill pile was full enough. It seemed that she had found herself with empty paws and a morning of opportunity.
But what opportunity could she possibly come across? She already had most of what she could ever wish for. Except for your sister back.....the thought tugged at her heart as she shook her skull in an attempt to throw it to the side. Muscles stretched as she extended her long limbs in front of her. It was time for a stroll.
The molly quietly exited her treetop den, staring down at the warriors spread out across the pine branches. She couldn't help the small smile that crept onto her face. Her clan was her family, the only one she would likely have at the rate things were going. She didn't have time to entertain toms...or the patience...or the trust. Grimacing the molly quickly descended the tall pine, jumping to the ground and heading out.
Paws carried her swiftly through their territory, she needed a specific place to calm her wandering mind. She was getting into her own head and already it was annoying her conscious. Absentmindedly she weaved around the trees that crossed her path, for soon she would find the purple fields she adored.
And just like that the clearing appeared. The smell wasn't at it strongest yet, midday was the preference of the lavender to release it's fragrant scent. Sorrelstar quickly weaved through some of the plants, finding a larger group and settling in amongst them. She closed her lids, trying to clear her mind and let the fragrance take over.
Soon the lavender plants would die off, for Leaf-Bare was not kind when it came to the lavender plants. But for now, she would enjoy it while she still could.
